WASHINGTON — With just days left before the November 3 midterm elections, President Donald Trump has announced a striking new offer: $1 million for anyone whose report of voter fraud leads to an arrest or conviction.
Trump first shared the plan on Truth Social on October 26, then repeated it to reporters before boarding Air Force One for a campaign rally in Corinth, Mississippi. The offer, he said, would cover fraud in past elections as well as the upcoming 2026 midterms.
Election integrity has been at the center of Trump's messaging for years. His claims about mail-in voting and the 2020 election were rejected in court, but the issue continues to energize his base — and worry election officials who fear it undermines trust in the vote.
The reward is the latest in a series of financial announcements ahead of the midterms, following tipster payments for uncovering fraud in government programs and promises of dividend checks if Republicans keep control of Congress.
Trump has not yet clarified whether the rewards would be paid from government funds or personal resources. Election experts and state officials are expected to respond in the coming days as early voting continues nationwide.
